Member terms

These terms apply when you create an account, publish an expert profile, or manage a company page on InfoSecHub. By signing in to create or manage a listing, you agree to them.

Accurate listings

Your listing must describe you or your company truthfully. List only the services, frameworks, certifications, and service areas you can show evidence for, usually on your own website or with the issuer. Do not list a company you don’t work with, or claim a company you don’t represent.

Statuses

New listings start as Unverified. You can ask to become Verified from your account. Verification is free and optional, and an Unverified listing doesn’t need an identity check. Our standard verification methods are not supported for profiles based in Québec. Those profiles can be listed as Unverified, and can contact us to ask about verification. A Verified profile that moves to Québec returns to Unverified. Read how verification works.

Reviews and spot inspections

We may review any listing at any time, with or without a reason. Reviews can follow a complaint, information that doesn’t add up, unusual account activity, or a routine spot check. During a review we may:

  • Ask for evidence that supports a service, framework, credential, or company link
  • Place the listing in Pending Review, which hides its links and credentials and shows a notice
  • Ask you to complete an identity check, as described below
  • Remove, suspend, or return the listing to Unverified

Identity checks

Individuals who ask to become Verified complete a short identity check. We may also require one as part of a review, for any listing. If you don’t complete a required check within a reasonable time, we may suspend the listing.

The check is run by our identity provider, Didit. You take a photo of a government photo ID and a short live selfie. Didit confirms that the document is genuine and that you are the person on it. You give your consent in your account before the check starts.

InfoSecHub never receives or stores your ID document or selfie. We keep only:

  • Whether the check passed
  • Whether the name on the ID matches the name on your profile
  • The date, and Didit’s reference for the session

Once the result is final, we ask Didit to delete its copy of the session through its API. A passed check doesn’t grant Verified on its own: we still review the listing, and the final decision is ours.

Content you submit

Guest articles and resources follow the contribution guidelines. You confirm you have the right to publish what you submit, and you give InfoSecHub a non-exclusive licence to publish and edit it for length and clarity.

No payment, no endorsement

Listing, verification, and reviews are free. Being listed or Verified isn’t an endorsement of anyone’s work.

Closing your account

You can ask us to remove your listing and account at any time through the contact form. We may update these terms. We will note material changes on this page.
